Carlisle, Pennsylvania, once again will be the lovely setting of Simcha (Joy!), Chosen People Ministries' annual Messianic retreat in partnership with Son of David Messianic Congregation of Wheaton, Maryland. The theme will be Even the Rocks Cry Out: Spiritual Insights from the Land of Israel. We hope you will join us for what will certainly be a wonderful time of worship, teaching, fellowship and fun! Relaxing activities for the weekend: Speaker: Edgar Hardesty Edgar Hardesty was born in Washington D.C. and served in the United States Air Force in Vietnam. He then attended Philadelphia College of the Bible and Dallas Theological Seminary, where he earned a B.S. in Bible and Th.M. in Christian Education. Edgar has extensive archeological experience in the Holy Land. He has been a pastor since 1972 and is currently the senior Pastor of Redeemer's Fellowship in Shrewsbury, PA. Edgar has also been a professor at Philadelphia Biblical University since 1991, and is currently the director of the Bible and Israel program. Since his time in Dallas, he earned another Master's Degree at Baltimore Hebrew University in Jewish Studies and is currently a Ph.D. candidate at Baltimore Hebrew Institute at Towson University in Biblical and Archaeological Studies, with a minor in Jewish History and Rabbinic Thought. Edgar married his wife Rachel in 1970; they have two sons, one daughter, and seven grandchildren. Edgar is enthusiastic about Israel, Jewish people, and teaching the next generation.

Fun for Kids
We have a great program for teens ages 13-18 that features modern worship, workshops on life challenges and main sessions exploring the relevance of God's Word to issues faced by teens today. And of course, the teens can expect some great games and fun when night falls!
