Your gift of love for Ukrainian Jewish children
Their holiday season looked bleak. Many Jewish Ukrainian children lost their fathers to war or are living with grandparents as their own parents are on the frontlines or in occupied territory. They had little reason to feel cheerful last December—
But then you reached out to them with compassion and the love of Jesus. Our Israel team invited 55 children from Eastern Ukraine to a getaway in Southern Poland. The young people, ages 13–17, enjoyed a whole week during which they could forget about the war and just have fun together.
They played games, competed in contests, and went on adventures—including a trip to McDonald’s (which was a highlight—because it was the first time for many of these kids)!
Each morning and evening, they sang songs in Hebrew, Ukrainian, and Russian together, talked about God and spirituality, and studied the Bible. This beautiful respite from fear and grief made a huge impression.
Thank you for reaching out in love to the Jewish children of Ukraine.
Broken in paradise
Tal* had come from Israel to Rio de Janeiro in search of wild parties, flowing alcohol, and mind-bending drugs—as many Israeli young people do. He found everything he was looking for, and for a while, he felt ecstatic!
But as the days went by, the parties became less exciting, the drinking became less desirable, and Tal had to admit to himself this kind of life had begun to feel very empty. It was then he remembered the Chosen People Ministries volunteers he met at his hostel.
He noticed them. They did not party with anyone, but they did treat everyone with warmth and respect, and they seemed completely hospitable to the Jewish young people they met.
“There was just something about them that drew me to them,” he remembers.
He connected with our volunteers and was very open to all they had to say about the Jewish Messiah, Jesus. He even accepted a Hebrew New Testament and said he would read it as he continues his travels in South America. We are excited to see where Tal’s journey takes him next—and praying he will choose to follow Jesus.

A new Jewish believer—ready for baptism!
David,* a Jewish man now living in California, comes from Israel. He made his way to our Messianic congregation and began to learn about Jesus, the Jewish Messiah. During our Rosh Hashanah service, he chose to follow the Savior!
This decision is a big step for any Jewish person—especially for an Israeli—because Jewish families are often vehemently opposed to this choice. We wanted to be sure David understood exactly what his commitment to Messiah meant, so our workers sat down with him to discuss it. They went over several Bible verses, and it was clear David had made an informed decision to follow Jesus.
In fact, after going over the Scriptures about baptism, he said he wanted to be baptized, and right away—not even the 55-degree water in the baptismal pool could deter him! Today, David has been baptized and is attending the Messianic congregation where he can grow in his faith.
Thank you for introducing David to his Messiah!
