Our “House of Living Waters” ministry is based out of an apartment near New York University. Four young men work together to reach college students with the gospel. They lead Bible studies and host holiday gatherings, including weekly Sabbath dinners. Here is a recent update from them:
On March 9, we celebrated the joyful holiday of Purim, which comes from the book of Esther.
As part of our party, we read the book of Esther and reflected on how God preserved and protected the Jewish people in accordance with His divine promises (Jeremiah 31:35–37).
The story of Esther is incredible! Even though God is not specifically mentioned in the book, the events of the story go beyond mere coincidence and show evidence of God’s divine fingerprints. What we can take away from this story, whether Jew or Gentile, is that God is faithful to His promises and is ever present, even when we are not able to see Him clearly in our situation.
It was a wonderful time for all!
