Passover: A Time for Redemption

Passover celebrates the exodus of the Jewish people from their bondage in Egypt under Pharaoh. However, Passover is also a powerful foreshadowing of Jesus the Messiah’s sacrificial death, burial, and resurrection. Learn more when you request your free copy of this booklet!

The Portion

Many might perceive the Torah as intimidating, outdated, or even irrelevant. However, without the Torah, we cannot fully understand New Testament concepts, including Israel’s future redemption, the heavenly Tabernacle, or why Yeshua’s sacrifice was necessary. As you read this encouraging devotional, you will discover how the Torah lays the foundation for the rest of Scripture and has guidance for our lives today.

Dr. Mitch Glaser

Dr. Mitch Glaser has served as president of Chosen People Ministries—one of the oldest and largest Messianic missions in the United States—since 1997. Dr. Glaser is an alumnus of Northeastern Bible College and holds a Master of Divinity degree in Old Testament from Talbot School of Theology, as well as a Ph.D. in Intercultural Studies from Fuller Theological Seminary, School of Intercultural Studies. He is the co-author of The Fall Feasts of Israel with his wife, Zhava, and co-editor of To the Jew First, The Gospel According to Isaiah 53, and The People, The Land, and The Future of Israel, published by Kregel Publications. Dr. Glaser’s evangelistic book, Isaiah 53 Explained, is now in eleven languages with more than 100,000 copies in print. He has written many articles for Christian periodicals and has taught at leading evangelical schools such as Talbot School of Theology, Fuller Theological Seminary, Moody Bible Institute, and Columbia International University. Both Mitch and his wife, Zhava, teach at the Charles L. Feinberg Center for Messianic Jewish Studies, a partnership between Chosen People Ministries and Talbot School of Theology. The Glasers have two daughters, Miriam and Jenni, and make their home in New York City, which Mitch calls “the soul of the worldwide Jewish community.”

Robert Walter

Robert Walter joined the staff of Chosen People Ministries in 2007. Originally from New Jersey, he moved to Florida shortly after he came to faith in Messiah. As he grew in the Lord, he began to sense God’s calling to ministry and eventually Jewish ministry in particular. Robert enrolled at Palm Beach Atlantic University and became very involved with Chosen People Ministries’ congregation and outreaches in South Florida. He graduated at the top of his class with a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies in 2006.

Robert moved with his family to Brooklyn in 2010 to continue his education in the Charles L. Feinberg Center for Messianic Jewish Studies, from where he earned a Master of Divinity degree in 2013. Since that time, Robert has been instrumental in planting a Messianic congregation in Brooklyn where he serves as one of the congregational leaders. He is also the leader of the Brooklyn Branch of Chosen People Ministries and teaches first year Greek at the seminary.

He has contributed to the popular books The Messiah in the Passover and The Gospel in the Passover and has written articles and book reviews for the Journal of Messianic Jewish Studies. Robert and his wife, Joanna, live in Brooklyn with their young children.
