Our International Messianic Centers:
Jerusalem
The Lord continues to powerfully use the Jerusalem Center. We now have more than 20 missionary families serving the Lord in Israel and a full administrative staff. Our national director, since 2007, is Michael Z., a Ukrainian Israeli. Michael and his wife Natalie became believers while studying Hebrew as new immigrants. We have a focused ministry among the Holocaust survivors living here in Israel, as well as benevolence ministries and a place to host short-term outreach teams. Our Jerusalem staff also organizes children’s summer camps and retreats for Holocaust survivors. Most of our constituency are immigrants from the former Soviet Union and I praise God that half of our staff are Russian Jewish believers who can share the Gospel in Russian with these precious people.
Tel Aviv – Ramat Gan Ministry Center
In the summer of 2017 we opened our newly renovated 1600 square foot facility in Ramat Gan, a thriving suburb just outside of Tel Aviv proper. This suburb of about 200,000 people (mostly families) connects with two or more other suburbs, creating an area with more than 500,000 Israelis. (Ramat Gan’s relationship to Tel Aviv has been compared to the boroughs of New York City – as either Brooklyn or Queens!)
We have been building a team in Ramat Gan to minister to families, and the community in general, with seminars on parenting, financial management, biblical counseling, as well as continuing a bi-weekly women’s Bible study. We will host a Gospel café each week, English classes, a children’s story time in English, and Bible studies for the general public.
Berlin
The Berlin Messianic Center is the first building dedicated to Jewish evangelism in Germany and perhaps in all of Europe since World War II. Surprisingly, Berlin has been attracting many Israelis. Up to 30,000 Israelis live here now and thousands visit the city daily. To seize the opportunity, CPM Germany pioneered a ministry among Israelis in 2012. Our dynamic outreach today encompasses multiple projects, for example a hospitality network, Shabbat fellowships, tandem language partnerships and friendship ministries. Young Israelis are especially open to the Gospel and hungry to learn more about Jesus!
Argentina
The Chosen People Ministries Messianic center in Argentina is in Buenos Aires, which is home to around 159,000 Jewish people. This hub of ministry coordinates administration, worship services, evangelistic outreaches, and volunteer activities such as counseling and hospital visitation.
Our work in Buenos Aires is growing, and we are delighted to see Jewish people come to the Lord in many ways. José and Silvia from Israel lead our Buenos Aires Messianic congregation, which meets in our Sarmiento property facility. We also have a second facility in Buenos Aires, the Billinghurst property. This building was beautifully renovated in 2017 to use as a ministry center as well as a youth hostel. The second floor can accommodate up to twelve Israeli backpackers and three staff members. We look forward to launching the hospitality ministry soon, as we are still searching for a couple to lead and operate the work. We hope to soon have Israeli travelers staying regularly at this center where they can hear the gospel.
