Bio

Brendan and his wife, Katie, are passionate about reaching the Jewish people with the Gospel and equipping fellow believers to do the same.

After coming to know the LORD himself at the age of 24, it was Brendan’s first reading through the Bible that he noticed the important place that the Jewish people hold in God’s heart. They are called God’s “first born son” (Ex 4:22), they are “the apple of His eye” (Deut 32:10), and God says that He will never reject them (Jer 33:25-26).

Recognizing God’s heart for the Jewish people and seeing that they are still considered an unreached people group, Brendan saw the urgent need to proclaim the message of Jesus to God’s chosen people (Deuteronomy 14:2; Romans 10:14-15). In 2015, he and his family left home to pursue this calling. They moved to Chicago to attend the Moody Bible Institute where Brendan could receive the training he needed.

The Maynards began in Jewish ministry with CPM in Chicago where they were involved with local outreach and work with the Chicago Messianic Community. Then, from 2017 to 2021, were actively involved in outreach to Israeli tourists in the country of New Zealand.

In New Zealand, the opportunity to reach thousands of Israelis with the Gospel was unlike anything before in the history of Jewish evangelism. Brendan and his family led a hospitality and accommodation ministry which catered specifically to these Israeli travelers. Each season, hundreds of Israeli men and women would stay at this facility as they continued their travels far from home. The combination of hospitality and gratitude created a perfect environment to foster relationships and to share the Gospel message of Jesus with these men and women – most hearing it for the first time!

Since moving back to the USA, Brendan has been called to bring the Gospel to the large and unreached Jewish population surrounding Cleveland, OH. At the same time, Brendan and the CPM international team will be working to bring the success of the New Zealand hospitality ministry to the United States and other keys nations.
