About
Rosh Hashanah inaugurates the High Holiday season. It is known as the Feast of Trumpets (Yom Teruah) in Leviticus 23, and today it is also celebrated as the Jewish New Year. Rosh Hashanah is a call to gather and present oneself to the King of Kings as the Book of Life is opened and evaluated. This holiday centers around the sounding of the shofar, which indicates the presence of God as our sovereign King.
During this time, we look inside and confess our sins before God and one another, while rejoicing in God’s splendor and majesty.
Although this is a traditional Jewish holiday, it has application and significance for believers in Messiah today, and all can join in the festivity! We offer up ourselves to the Lord as living sacrifices and acknowledge that without His mercy and grace, we would be without hope. We rejoice in God and the work of Messiah, which allows us to stand justified before Him.
Friday, September 18 at 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM (EDT)

About
Yom Kippur—the Day of Atonement—takes place 10 days after Rosh Hashanah on the tenth of Tishrei. The ten days between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur are known as the Days of Awe.
Yom Kippur is the most solemn day on the Jewish calendar. On this day, Israel’s high priest would enter the Holy of Holies to atone for Israel’s sin by sprinkling the blood of an innocent goat onto the Ark of the Covenant. Then he would release a live goat (scapegoat) into the wilderness, carrying the sins of the people (Leviticus 16).
Jewish people today observe this solemn day by fasting and repenting. Tradition teaches that on this day, the book of life is opened, and our good and bad deeds are weighed before God.
As believers in Yeshua, this day is important for us to confess our sins, take a “spiritual audit” of the year, remember Yeshua’s atonement for our sin, and pray for the peace of Jerusalem. We hope you will join us this year!
We will have messages from Chosen People Ministries’ long-time staff members Rabbi Dennis Karp and Rabbi Scott Brown, with award-winning opera singer Malena Towers, who will be singing Kol Nidre.
Join us Sunday, September 27 at 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM (EDT).

About
Sukkot is called “the time of our rejoicing.” We rejoice in the redemptive work that took place during Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, and we celebrate that God is now in our midst, dwelling with us. It is customary to build a sukkah (booth) and decorate it with foliage and fruit; its roof must leave room to look at the stars, to remember how finite our lives are and that God is the king over the entire universe, the heavens and the earth.
This is also a time when customarily, we spend time with our family and friends under the sukkah and show hospitality to strangers.
Sukkot is the only fall feast that mentions other nations, as it has a future, Messianic application. When Jesus returns to rule and reign from Jerusalem, all nations will bring offerings to Jerusalem and bow before Him. Sukkot is a wonderful time to rejoice in our future hope and our inheritance in Messiah.
Although we may not be able to gather together under a sukkah, we have a wonderful service prepared where we can all fellowship together online!
There will be teaching by Chosen People Ministries’ president Dr. Mitch Glaser. Music will be provided by Paul Wilbur, a talented worship musician!
